 It is not likely that when you think of toddlers, you associate them with the word yoga. When it comes to yoga, you will immediately think   about a relaxed and calm atmosphere. While it may be difficult to imagine a toddler doing yoga, there are several yoga classes for toddlers around. Your toddler will definitely enjoy a yoga class too.

Bring your tot along with you when you shop for colorful and fun yoga mats. Buy one with extra thick protection. Look for an outdoor space to practice your child or use a bright space near the windows inside.  Make sure that your child will feel part of nature since   most yoga poses have names derived from nature. Put emphasis on English names for poses.

Ask your toddler to imagine where they are when doing every pose, such as imagining that they are   near a palm tree in a beach when doing a Tree Pose.  Sit across your child when he or she does poses to allow him or her to model you. Consider purchasing yoga media aimed towards kids like the book ‘Sleep Little Yoga: A Toddler’s Book of Yoga’. There are also fun DVDs your child will like. Enroll your tot to a yoga class. Some may require you to participate while others are for toddlers alone.

Nonetheless, when   choosing   yoga clothes, the comfort, price and fit should be your priority than designer labels.

When choosing yoga clothes, make certain it fits well. Too big clothes could lead you to become entangled and interfere with movement. On the other hand, too tight clothing could be uncomfortable and could restrict your movements. Shop around for various clothes before you make your   yoga clothes purchase.  Yoga dates back to more than 5,000 years ago. A lot of the popular yoga techniques include meditation, controlled breathing, mental imagery, physical movement and stretching.  The word yoga is derived from the word ‘yoke’ meaning  to bring   together. It indeed brings together the body, mind and spirit.

There are numerous benefits to a yoga class.  Some of these benefits include sound sleep, reduced stress, relief of asthma and allergy symptoms, reduced level of cortisol, improved medical condition, spiritual growth, sense of well-being, increased flexibility and strength, reduced muscle tension and anxiety, slow aging process, lower blood pressure, lower heart rate and many more.

A yoga class does require commitment of time and is harder for people who have some physical limitations. Moreover, some people may feel conscious performing some of the yoga poses. In addition   to that, a yoga class could be costly.  Many people think of yoga as a form of exercise. Although it has countless benefits for the body, it also provides balance on your emotions and mind. Meditation yoga is any practice that clears the mind and brings one into the present moment with awareness and clarity. Moreover, meditation lets you free your mind from worries momentarily.

There are several types of yoga classes bust most are structured to include meditation at the start of the class. There are meditation yoga postures that help you relax your mind, spirit and body. The basic meditation posture   is a well-aligned, cross-legged sitting posture on the floor. An easy method to start meditating is to be fully aware of the present moment with the use of all your senses. Spend several minutes focusing on breathing, making it deeper and slower. Start to evaluate the feeling of your body mentally. Be aware of the smell of the room, how your mouth tastes and listen for sounds around you.   If worries or thoughts come into mind, honor them but let them pass quickly. Sit still for as long as you can and   then go back to consciousness slowly.
